Why does my Snowboard / Skis need servicing?

You have spent a lot of money on your new snowboard or skis, and just like a car, they need to be serviced to keep them riding like a dream.

What are the benefits to my Board or Skis being serviced?

Regular servicing ensures that your skis/snowboard maintain optimal performance on the slopes. By addressing issues such as dull edges and base damage, you can enjoy smoother turns, better control, and enhanced responsiveness.

Why does it need wax?

The wax protects your Snowboard or Skis from the water going into the wood core, yes! They are still made from wood, and we all know water and wood are not good friends.

How many times do I need a service?

Prolonged Lifespan: Routine servicing helps extend the lifespan of your skis by preventing premature wear and tear. We recommend the Full Monty Service once yearly as it’s like an MOT. If you go more than once a year, having a top-up wax and refresh and getting your edges re-sharpened is a good idea. If you are lucky enough to go four or more times a season, it’s a good idea to top up the wax for different types of snow, e.g., cold snow, ice snow, and spring snow slush.
